Isa65 Posted December 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2011 Thanks for this! Makes me want to go even more.... And the deal is.... you can order one appetizer/ one main and 1 dessert? Can you order throughout the day or is there a specific lunch hour?
serene56 Posted December 1, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted December 1, 2011 you can order all throughout your stay. Remember they close at 5pm. you do not have to order the entire appetizer, entree, dessert at once. You can arrive-- wait 30 minutes and get your appetizer- wait another hour and get your entree and an hour before you leave you can get your dessert

WeLove2CruiseRCI Posted December 4, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 4, 2011 What time do they open? We were just there last month. They operate on local time, not ship time which is different. We were there an hour before they opened. We were the first one's there a group of 4, we chose where we wanted to lounge and went for a swim in the ocean while we waited for them to open to pay our balance. They will come to you to collect your balance. Remember to pay in cash and bring your reservation print out, they will ask for it.

serene56 Posted December 5, 2011 Author #11 Share Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) So do they open 10am ship time? THAT would depend on what ship/cruiselines. Some cruiselines change time to reflect the island time-- others do not. It would also depend on where your home port is. On our Royal Caribbean cruises the ship changed time to reflect the island time. You might want to check that out on the Royal board Edited December 5, 2011 by serene56

In Janauray Cozumel will be one hour BEHIND Miami time.. so if you are suposed to arrive at 10am-- its 9am island time
JohninDC Posted April 28, 2014 #13 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Stay Away!!!Save your money and go elsewhere. Dirty and the staff was nasty. The waiter threatened us with bad water because he felt we insulted him by asking for bottled water. He was rude and nasty. The management did not care. We left feeling it was a very unsafe environment for our family. Sorry you had a bad experience - are you sure you were at the same Nachi I have visited several times? Staff has always been friendly and helpful, management on the ball, and the food and drinks (including bottled water) has always flowed. We cannot wait to get back!

panoramaofthepast Posted April 30, 2014 #15 Share Posted April 30, 2014 What time do they open? We have gotten there as early as 8:30 and they have welcomed us! We have been there multiple times and had a wonderful experience every time - scheduled again for November! Leave room for dessert if you can. The flan is delish! According to my husband and granddaughter, the guacamole and salsa are outstanding. While Nachi says "a four course meal" we have ordered extras and never been denied. bguppies Posted April 30, 2014 #16 Share Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Nachi opens at 9AM Cozumel time. We have arrived at 8:30AM twice of our 6 trips to nachi. (including a couple of weeks ago) Both times, they were happy to let us in early. They just are not set up to begin serving or taking the rest of your payment, until 9AM. You can cherry pick your spot for the day and lay your things out. You just have to head back to the restaurant to pay and get your wristband. Langley Cruisers Posted April 30, 2014 #17 Share Posted April 30, 2014 (PS how in the heck did this dead thread from 2011 suddenly arise from the dead?) Because someone who claims he had a bad experience was spamming the board with his anti-Nachi threads. He posted in at least 5 threads. The offending (bumping) post was removed but not any of the subsequent replies.
cdscooby1 Posted May 1, 2014 #18 Share Posted May 1, 2014 We booked our trip there based on posts and other peoples experiences. Obviously people have not been there in a while. The place is run down, they are rude. Save your money. Just trying to warn people it is not what you remember. We had a horrible experience and would never ever go back or encourage anyone to go there.

We had a horrible experience and would never ever go back or encourage anyone to go there. Was just at Nachi, April 11th and everything was just as nice and the food and service as great, as it has been our other 5 days at Nachi over the years. (2007-2012) They were cleaning up some sea grass from the beach after a storm, but nothing any beach club can do about Mother Nature. Sorry you had a bad day there... But I can vouch that the facilities have not become run down, as of 20 days ago. (just added more palapas and hammocks over the years) Edited May 1, 2014 by bguppies
cdscooby1 Posted May 2, 2014 #20 Share Posted May 2, 2014 I guess the hammocks disappeared a week later. They had 3 hammocks. 2 were broken and they were all very old/used looking.

We had a horrible experience and would never ever go back or encourage anyone to go there. Four of us were there on March 12, 2014 and it was just wonderful, more than worth our $55 per person. The fish and shrimp were amazing and the drinks cold and potent. Our waiter could not do enough for us. AND there were perfectly fine hammocks! You've made your point, which was to flood the Cozumel board with negative reviews in every available Nachi thread. Yours is the only negative review I've read. That tells me something. Like others, we were recently there and had a FABULOUS time. I'm sorry you didn't. Please let it go. If you had a bad time, your beef is with them - if you are so upset, then follow up with them. It's not necessary to keep going on about it. Thanks.
