Disappointed w/ Casino crew on NA

My family of 12 spent the majority of time and money at the casino on a recent cruise and it is the only part of the ship that I had any super negative feelings about.

We spent a lot of time at the roulette table...it was fun for us (about 6 of us) to play with $20 or $40 here and there for 10 min at a time up to 2 hours...someone was always at the table.

1st story:

Someone in our party had never played before and sat down with us and cashed in some money for chips. While explaining to her where and how much she could bet the dealer was about to "wave her hand" over the board to call last bet and instead of just waving her hand and verbalizing that bets were over she impatiently told the newbie that she needed to hurry up. This made her uncomfortable enough to ask to cash in her chips and leave...before even placing a bet. When the dealer saw that she upset her she tried saying the another person at the table was impatient and wanted to move on and that person must have caught on to how rude she was and said "dont bring me into this" Needless to say, the dealer saw the error in her ways and my group just decided to leave the table when she was around and we got on with our lives.

2nd Story:

As I, and a few other people with me, was learning the ins and out and rules of Roulette we made a few mistakes along the way which most of the dealers were patient with. Mainly, placing bets after they wave their hands over the board and say no more bets AND waiting to place bets until all have been paid. If you violated any of them...most dealers just told you the right thing to do and then you never did it again...it was still fun. One particular guest would ocassionally pop into the game and trown down $5,000 at a time and rudely play the game with us but he was set to a different level of standards. When this man was at the table...the dealers AND pit boss were constantly allowing him to break rules...like everytime the said no more bets, he would throw more chips on AND he would ALWAYS start placing bets while people were still being paid...BUT the dealer and pit boss would embarass others at the table for doing the dame thing...the people with only $20 on the table.

Story #3

While sitting at the table some young boys, probably 21, stopped by to play $20. I will not lie, there were definatly intoxicated but harmless and just plain annoying. The boy didnt quite know the rules so he kinda made a scene at the table and instead of handling it in a professional way the pit boss literally was making fun of him and his friends right to their faces...like telling them that they ran out of milk (saying that were babies) and should go home. I kind of felt bad for them, they were definetly embarassed.

So thats that...the ONE area that I was disappointed with on an AMAZING ship with AMAZING staff (except for the Casino)!

I am surprised that the casino staff was like this. I hope you put something on your comment card. This can be a big money maker for HAL. If it's no fun to be there - no one is going to be there.

A shame:(
