tjbarney Posted January 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2012 My family and I have booked 5 AFT Balcony cabins (one is the back corner extended) on the Victory with a total of 11 people. I was wondering what is a normal extra that can be gotten from Carnival? As in ship board credit (how much?) or bubble cards? What have your experiences been? In the past I have only booked 1 cabin so I haven't had experience in this area before. Thanks for the help!

While a group is usually defined as 8 cabins, that is to qualify for a free berth. Many of the group "perks" can be obtained with as few as 5 cabins, however, you must be booked as a group, through the group dept.
Cricket63 Posted January 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2012 You need to be booked as a group, not individual cabins if you want amenities.
tjbarney Posted January 5, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted January 5, 2012 We did book as a group and through Carnival directly. We are awaiting a call back from the person who booked us because she was going to talk to her supervisor. We are just needing an idea on what people have gotten so we are prepared when we are called back. Thanks!
SadieN Posted January 5, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2012 It can be anything from OBC, wine, logo item, cocktail party, photo coupons, etc. Our group uses the Amenity Points as a fundraiser for our Temple.
okgirl Posted January 5, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2012 For 5 cabins don't expect much. In fact I would be surprised if you receive anything at all.
elcuchio24 Posted January 5, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2012 There are 'groups' and then there are groups. When you hear about 'group cruises' you are talking about dozens and dozens, sometimes hundreds of people. 5 cabins is so small that you would probably not get much as far as free extras. firefly333 Posted January 5, 2012 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2012 The only 5 cabin groups I have heard getting anything were booked thru a TA, not thru Carnival groups. You need 8 cabins to get amenities thru Carnival booking direct. (or so I have been told)
