kitty52 Posted January 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Am cruising for the first time with Royal Carribean. I know you are not allowed irons, can I take a clothes steamer on board?
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Welcome to Cruise Critic. NO - they are just as dangerous and can cause a fire.
paul929207 Posted January 15, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Many cruise ships have self service laundries with irons in them. Not sure about RCI. Check their website or ask on the RCI section.

cb at sea Posted January 15, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Steamers are allowed, unless they appear to have frayed cords. Electric hair appliances are also allowed.
JMG680 Posted January 15, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Steamers are ok, but if it looks like an Iron you may have to go to the naughty room to get it, but when you show them it is not an iron you will be good to go.
Bonnie J. Posted January 16, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Downy has wrinkle release which works well for us. You spray it on, stretch the fabric and wrinlkles disappear. But, do this in the morning for night time wear, giving it time to work. You can get it in most grocery stores in the laundry soap isle. Try it at home first.
