Transfer from airport to ship?

Hi, new cruiser here. My question is we land at Mallorca at 09.40 but our ship doesn't leave port until 23.00. Do we put our cases on a coach bound for the ship then have a look around Palma or do we go with the cases and stay at the ship until we sail? Many thanks.

I've asked Thomson by email 2 days ago and not had a reply.

Our experience, 18 months ago, was that we were taken from the airport to the ship (our flight landed at 9.30a.m.) where we checked in and boarded. We then settled in and had some lunch. Around 2.30p.m. we left the ship and got the local bus (1 euro from the stop just outside the terminus) into Palma where we spent a few hours wandering and enjoying a drink and people watching before returning to the ship......I can’t remember if we had muster drill that first evening or if it was the following morning.

Enjoy your cruise.

yes you can get back off the ship and go look around majorca. think you need to be back on board approx 1 hour before sailing. the drill normally is the next morning however, due to the recent incident they may change that to the same day. Just ask someone when you board have a great trip x Carol

The cruise line should give you the time boarding starts. Most start a little earlier than they list. So by the time you get to the ship, it should be time to board. After checking in, drop your stuff in your cabin, eat lunch and go ashore.

You'll probably be in Thomson's hands from the moment you board their aeroplane- Thomson Flight, T's coach to the ship, where you'll be able to check in. It will be lunch time by then, so have a meal and stroll back into Palma (or take the bus from the road behind the prom).

Have a great cruise!

Jo.
