Enchantment of the Seas

For anyone who has cruised on the Enchantment out of Baltimore, can you please tell me why they recommend that you book your flight home after 12:30 pm? I was registering online and I got a message that states that my return flight must depart after 12:30 pm. I have never cruised out of Baltimore, and we usually book our flights home prior to noon.

Getting off the ship can be delayed for many reasons. Hence, the cruise lines reccomends not flying before 12:30. On one cruise we were supposed to get off the ship at 615am but ship was late getting into port and it was after 9am whne 1st passengers got off the ship.(We drove to port.)They can't garentee you will make a flight before then but 11:30 should be OK.

My experience is that virtually all cruise lines, in all ports, recommend an afternoon flight at the end of a cruise, esp. if you are making your own arrangements. Even in good weather and no other problems, disembarkation could be delayed for some seemingly insignificant reason; and even once you are ashore and through Immigration and Customs, you might not find one piece of luggage right away, or your airport van might be delayed .... in other words, why stress yourself that day, when you could just allow more than enough time.

I do have to say, after sailing on Enchantment three times, and three other Baltimore cruises, that the entire operation is extremely efficient, both on board and through the terminal. However, I would still prefer to sit in an airport for a while than to worry about something going wrong.
