I like the Holiday Inn Express. Clean, freindly with a covered pool, micro, fridge and coffee maker in the room with a falt screen tv. All rooms have indoor corridors and a free continental breakfast. Publix is right next store along with a gas station and a little plaza with a Beef o Brady's. Best part is it's a about a block from the oldest Pier in Florida, (basically across the street) and their is a nice traffic light to cross by. The pier on the weekends is hopping and the beach is right there too. They also offer a shuttle to the port that starts at 11am, but honestly it's like all of 7 min. to the parking garage there so we just drive ourselves. :)

Last stay there by me was in September.

Next stop...Allure of the Seas in May.

Just stayed at the Best Western Cocoa Beach in the beach front tower. Clean comfortable room with a balcony view of the beach. Pool with an outdoor bar. Walking distance to the Cocoa Beach Pier, Boston Steak and Seafood, Publix, and Beef O'Brady's Sports Bar. Ten minute ride to the cruise port. They have a small free breakfast buffet.

Country Inn & Suites. Rooms are nice, clean and it includes a free shuttle to the port. You can leave your car parked at the hotel while you're on the ship. The park 'n sail rate is about $30 more than regular room rate and that means you aren't paying parking at the port. It's like getting a free night to rest and get ready for the trip. Includes free breakfast too!

I agree, my hotel of choice. The Best Western is closer to the beach but never stayed there. CoCoa Beach Shuttle offers a shuttle to the port from the Holiday Inn Express for $4 per person. Great precruise beachday! We even bought boogie boards while walking to the beach for $4.99 so cheap water fun too!

It's really nice. You can see the ships from the hotel. Good breakfast, free shuttle, etc. You might check http://www.tripadvisor.com Another good site is http://www.hotelsbythepier.com (The website is now different but you'll be redirected.)

Residence Inn is our preferred hotel in the area. It's all suites, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, relatively new...

We used the Country Inn and Suites in Port Canaveral in 2010 when we cruised. They have a great warm complimentary buffet breakfast with lots of tables to eat at plus nice size rooms to hold up to 6 people if needed. The room we had held a mini fridge too. We requested a shuttle time when we checked in and right on time they loaded our things into a enclosed cargo trailer. Then we boarded a large shuttle and we were dropped right at our ship and they unloaded our things. Once we gathered our luggage at the end of our cruise we called the number they gave us (pre-cruise) and waited a few minutes and they were there to return us to the parking lot near our car at the hotel. We got free week long parking and didn't have to worry about breakfast the day of our cruise! It was completely hassle free and nice accomodations for a reasonable price. The staff was nice and the trip to and from the port was super quick.
