April 2013 Cruise - Final Payment October 2012?

Must have missed this somewhere! I was just on line to book a cruise for April 2013 and the courtesy hold says final payment is due in October 2012.

Final payment is usually 75 - 90 before the cruise depending on the season.

Book so you get what you want & then call them to find out what the deal is. If final payment is really October, they should be able to tell you why & then you can tell us!

We're booked on FOTS in April and final payment was less than 2 weeks ago. That cannot be right. Give RCI a call!

I have to agree with the others. That has to be a misprint. Our final payment for our April 2011 cruise was the end of January. Definitely contact RCI.

The changes were by about 5 days, not a couple of months.

Are you booking through a travel agent? I know of one online agency that bumps up its final payments by nearly that much...almost six weeks before the "real" RCI final payment is due. And that particular agency does not give the best OBC offers either.

 

If you are going through an agency like that, find a different one!

75 days if cruise is longer than 5 nights.

 

60 days if 5 nights or less.

 

90 days if cruise includes Christmas or New Year's Eve.

 

That's all you need to know.

I would double check your reservation to make sure you booked the right dates. Many times when looking at the main page and then clicking on the date you want it actually changes the date on the next booking screen. You can change it back on this screen also but if you missed it you would end up with the date it defaulted to on this page. Double check as you may have booked a January date by mistake rather than the April one that you may have clicked on originally.
