LEtue Posted February 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Must have missed this somewhere! I was just on line to book a cruise for April 2013 and the courtesy hold says final payment is due in October 2012. Really?????????
Kamloops50 Posted February 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Final payment is usually 75 - 90 before the cruise depending on the season.
Darkwolfe Posted February 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Website probably has its wires crossed again. 75-90 days sure, but nearly 6 months is silly.
hollon Posted February 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Id check that out again, my cruise is in may and the final payment is in march for the allure
phoenix1181 Posted February 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Book so you get what you want & then call them to find out what the deal is. If final payment is really October, they should be able to tell you why & then you can tell us!
Isa65 Posted February 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Surely that can't be right? I'm booked for April 2013 and my final payment is January 2013. Call them!

LEtue Posted February 11, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Will call today and ask about it. I thought I heard something about cruise line final payment dates changing so I thought that is what I was seeing
Pichu21 Posted February 11, 2012 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2012 We're booked on FOTS in April and final payment was less than 2 weeks ago. That cannot be right. Give RCI a call!
Rare Teeara Posted February 11, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 11, 2012 I have to agree with the others. That has to be a misprint. Our final payment for our April 2011 cruise was the end of January. Definitely contact RCI.
BND Posted February 11, 2012 #11 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Will call today and ask about it. I thought I heard something about cruise line final payment dates changing so I thought that is what I was seeing  The changes were by about 5 days, not a couple of months. Maryscooking Posted February 11, 2012 #12 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Are you booking through a travel agent? I know of one online agency that bumps up its final payments by nearly that much...almost six weeks before the "real" RCI final payment is due. And that particular agency does not give the best OBC offers either. If you are going through an agency like that, find a different one!
Merion_Mom Posted February 11, 2012 #13 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Must have missed this somewhere! I was just on line to book a cruise for April 2013 and the courtesy hold says final payment is due in October 2012. Really????????? 75 days if cruise is longer than 5 nights. 60 days if 5 nights or less. 90 days if cruise includes Christmas or New Year's Eve. That's all you need to know. Gil T. Azell Posted February 11, 2012 #14 Share Posted February 11, 2012 I would double check your reservation to make sure you booked the right dates. Many times when looking at the main page and then clicking on the date you want it actually changes the date on the next booking screen. You can change it back on this screen also but if you missed it you would end up with the date it defaulted to on this page. Double check as you may have booked a January date by mistake rather than the April one that you may have clicked on originally.
