Thanks for this thread and links.

Port Everglades is busy this time of year.

Sometimes I ride my motorcycle over to the

Port to watch the ships leave...but the web cams

are great especially since they scan the harbor

and follow the ships.

Thanks again and so hey...here's a pic I took, a while

back, of your favorite ship. The Oasis does fill Lake Mabel

(name of the turning basin).

Starting tomorrow, there is a new captain on the Westerdam. Last week there were between 160 and 170 toots given for his farewell blast from the outgoing captain. (We lost count on the HAL sailaway thread)

We are waiting to see how many blasts the new captain is going to do.

Awesome video..thanks!!

Since we booked the allure our Monday morning ritual is to get up at 7am and watch the ships leave. It's the perfect start to a new week! I was annoyed a couple weeks ago because I didn't know it was daylight savings time. Woke up at 8am and everything had left already!

ahh the Westie a webcam favourite :) :) Did not know she will have a new captain so will be paying close attention to the 'noise' she will make. Everyone loves her on the cam FB page.

Your post about watching ships sail out at 7 AM on Monday mornings made no sense to me until I checked where you are posting from.:D

Definitely saw the 10 blue shirt wave but didn't see the party bead wave. Did you see it Emmy? I could have missed it since I decided to start dinner for some bizzare reason.;):p

Don't believe I saw the bead wave either. Will check the replay of the sail away on the Port Fever archives. Love that feature so you can rewatch a sail away:)
