Does the Library/Kids Club have children's books you can borrow?

The library's do have a limited number of books, but whether any will interest your kids is always up for debate.

Invest in a color nook or equivalent Amazon reader - there are plenty of free or very inexpensive books (including picture books). Although NOT inexpensive, we purchased a few of my DD's high school text books for her Nook -- she's been "on the road" for sports and band quite a bit and bringing the Nook instead of her regular 25+ pound backpack has been great for her.

If you don't want to invest in a reader, bring some paperbacks - you can always leave them behind if need be.
