Venice Boarding Time

We are looking at a cruise on Silhouette on 17 September leaving from Venice. The ship is docked overnight and sails at 5pm on 18 September. What is the latest time we can board on the 17 September? Looking at a flight which arrives at 12.25pm on 17 September, but I am a bit worried about flight delays. However, if we can board anytime as the ship is docked overnight, this would take away some of the worry about flying in on the same day.

We boarded in Oct. Times were posted and they seemed to be same as Florida Boardings. Starting at 11 am. Although we were on a HAL cruise the principle was the same. We had a 2 hour delay where we waited in the staging area. Shortage of dock workers ( Ah, Italy!) I believe they board up to 1 hour before. Don't tarry. Why not go a day early. Venice is wonderful.

You should be OK with that flight. If it is late, you can still make the ship since it is in port until the next day.

Mon, Sep 17 Venice, Italy

Tue, Sep 18 Venice, Italy Depart 5:00 PM Docked

I believe that they have the first Formal night when the ship is in Venice and sailing out that night. This does not make sense. Most people will be on deck watching the sail away.

can you supply the answer to your own question about the embarkation window in Venice? I have the same question but I do not leave until NEXT year.

This is not a problem at all. Since you do not leave until the next day even if your flight is late you will still be able to board whenever you arrive on the 17th, or up until about 3:30 on the 18th if your flight gets cancelled...... Enjoy your cruise. If you have not been in Venice, however, I would really suggest you arrive early and see the City. It is awesome

I plan on taking the early train from Munich but my travel companions may take the noon train. I plan on spending as much time as possible in the city!

We are doing the Adriatic cruise in May, which has the overnight in Venice at the beginning. We board on the 22nd, but don't sail until 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd. We plan on doing dinner in Venice on the evening of the 22nd - does anyone know how late we can come back to the ship in the evening?
