All things Valor!

You can use the stairway next to the sushi bar to go down one level to the upper aft dining room. It will lead you into Winston's (the non smoking cigar lounge), where there is usually a jazz band playing. Nice leather seats. It beats waiting in the crowded elevator area outside the MDR doors.

Hi - I see you have sailed on Valor a few times. Any tips or information would be appreciated! Thank you!

We're sailing on 3/31. I realize there's no 2.0 upgrades coming soon, but does anyone know if it looks like the Valor will be going into dry dock before the end of March? I was thinking it might be between the switch in itineraries.

Does the Valor have a burrito bar? And, if so, what exactly is it?

When I look at Carnival's website for the ship layout it's not there. But when I use another site (might have go ccl in it's name); it shows that it does?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, there is a burrito bar on Valor. Facing aft, if you are walking into Rosie's/the buffet from the lido deck, enter on the left, and it is a window/opening in the wall with its own line. If you walk past it, you will enter the main buffet/dining area. If you walk into Rosie's on the right, there is also a window, this one is for the deli.

I'm on the repositioning to San Juan in Feb. and I think there is a cruise right after ours.

Is the serenity are hard to find? A little quiet sounds like fun right now!

No go up on deck near slide.....But!!!! Chair hogs...on serenity as well. Tuff spot on sea days to find a chair. two decks high..look on lower then head up topside. Also has nice bar.

Thanks for the suggestion. Great idea to post it on the door!

I've finally mastered knowing which side is port and which is starboard but a bit confused - isn't the stern the aft?

We also love the "Shipmate" App for our iPods or iPhones.

We're sailing Nov 10th:D

Just wondering what beverages are included. The last time we cruised was two years ago on the Freedom and Lemonade and Iced tea were free. Is this still the case on the Valor?

Thanks!

Would love to see some info regarding free wifi in ports for Southern Caribbean itinerary. I know there is a candy store in St. Maarten that offers this but looking for the other ports we are visiting. Also if anybody that has just done the sailing did they have any special party nights like 70's etc we might want to bring an outfit for. Lastly any papers to share of daily activities. If you are sailing on the Valor we also started a facebook group for this sailing..look us up

Hello everyone! I am hoping to get lots of responses in order to have somewhere that everyone can go to find out all kinds of helpful information about the Valor!

So post any helpful tips about cruising on the Valor here! Any secret decks, great spots to hang out, things you wished you had known about sooner on your cruise on the valor, or even photos.

Thanks in advance everyone!

:D

We will be cruising the Valor for our honeymoon on July 7th for the 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise. We are first time cruisers and will be in a Balcony Room (7207) on the forward section of the Empress Deck... any advise?
