Travel insurance for elderly/medical probs

Hi there

Wondered if anyone can give me advice on where I can get reasonable cruise insurance for my mum? She's 80, with heart problems, a pacemaker etc. We are hoping to head off to the Fjords in May or June on a no-fly from UK (we live here!). Thanks

In the US, you have to purchase the insurance within 14 days of booking of most will not cover pre-existing conditions.

Ageuk.org, travel insurance is under "Products" tab. You can fill in a questionnaire online and get either a quote or a referral to a tel no. if medical conditions are outside an online quote.

try stay sure-they cover a lot of pre existing conditions for free-they were advertised in the commercial break during one of the travel shows on sky

DH had a heart attack last year (aged 43) and we got it with TopDog Insurance (through moneysupermarket.com). Cost £90 extra for one heart attack (with meds for high blood pressure and choloestrol) if that helps.

Have you tried Saga insurance?

I believe that some Saga cruises include insurance, and transport to the docks from home....
