Your favorite RCCL ship event/activity?

Recommended Posts

Wondering if anyone has a favorite ship event/activity? ie. fruit carving demonstrations, cupcake designing, pasta making, best legs contest, etc.

On our last cruise I remember circling alot of stuff I wanted to do in the compass but didn't get to do most of it! Guess I got a little too relaxed in the room lol

I don't actually GO to any demonstrations or activities...if I pass by one, I may stop and watch. I did enjoy the ice-carving they do on the pool deck (or, used to!!)...those guys are amazing!

My favorite activity is sitting by the pool, reading and people-watching!

Our favorite activity on Oasis was getting popcorn and going to the Aqua Theater at night to sit outside and watch a movie on the big screen! It was awesome! Sitting outside, ocean breeze blowing through my hair, eating popcorn--it was the best!!

70's Disco night FOR SURE! We always dress up.

I also love the Prohibition party on Allure. It's such a great idea. On my comment card I suggested they do something similar on all ships that ties in to the ship's entertainment or ports or something. It's a great way for them to generate more revenue and a great event for those of us who are not into the entertainment shows or demonstations.

Mattress testing or renewing Balcony Club membership.

Favorite Public Activity is THE QUEST. It is not so much winning the keychain as it is the team building and competition...and the martini or two before the show...

Getting up early and going out on the top deck at 5am, with my morning coffee, long before the sun comes up.

There is nobody around but a handful of us, every morning. It almost becomes a social club, we all always recognize and acknowledge each other.

Those early hours at sea are magical! Before the busy day begins.

Then I'll do my morning run, go down and wake the Mrs up and head to breakfast.

On ships that have it, the Ice Show! comes in first and usually the production shows come in second.

I agree, there is nothing like standing out on the balcony looking at the stars (especially during the winter months for us midwesterners)

Yup, Sailaway. Waving arms to the 'YMCA' and trying to remember

the Macarana.

But, Ice Shows and Production Shows are our priority. Front row, every show.

Dining must fit around the live performances for us.

Watch Quest. Play Trivia. Jog in A.M. and enjoy balcony time.

On cloudless nights I am Sky Watching on top deck, around 3 A.M.,

with coffee, the Ipad2 and using 'Star Walk' app and a pair of binos.

I also enjoy the ice carving demo and seeing the fruit carvings.

I am a woodcarver and can relate.
