Leo Jay Posted May 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2012 Any reviews? I don't recall hearing anything about this specialty restaurant on Summit, and didn't even know it existed until recently. Lots of talk about Qsine, but not this one. Why?

Rare Lois R Posted May 1, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2012 Any reviews? I don't recall hearing anything about this specialty restaurant on Summit, and didn't even know it existed until recently. Lots of talk about Qsine, but not this one. Why? Good morning, "USS UNITED STATES" is the Specialty Restaurant on Infinity. The restaurant on SUMMIT is called "NORMANDIE". As for reviews? It has been on the ship since it came into the fleet:) back in the early 2000's....... Food and service are wonderful (in my opinion anyway;)). kenevenpar Posted May 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2012 Normandie has always (in our experience) been outstanding! It is one of the things we look forward to on Summit! And, we usually end up going multiple times. Ken
PFV Posted May 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2012 We are sailing this Sunday on the Summit and can't wait. In our mail last week was a promotional flyer from "X" for the Summit giving details of the "United States" restaurant! We have been on the Summit before and the Normandie Dining Room is gorgeous. Someone at "X" is confused.......

Someone at "X" is confused....... Yes, thus my confusion. The email last week was the first time I'd ever seen a reference to this restaurant, though I did do an email search last night and saw an email I'd overlooked from January that also mentioned SS United States, specifically on Summit. But yes, it's clear now that it's just another example of X's alarming rate of misinformation. Thanks for clarifying.
Tonka's Skipper Posted May 1, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2012 Really a shame we can't get the real SS United States running again. She is a empty hull ready to be rebiult into a Star liner again! AKK
