Pool floatie/water wing Question

It is not a matter of common sense

 

The staff member on Carnival clearly said (in response to this direct question) ...water wings ok...tubes NO

it is a matter of safety, really would be a mess in those pools with a bunch of tubes floating around

 

Seems fair. Those without common sense should follow what was "clearly said" and there won't be any problems (the mess of floating tubes) and those with common sense call follow the spirit of the rule (even if that includes letting their young kid float in a small training ring/tube). The only people upset will be the rules police, and it is so fun to watch them squirm anyway.

They take up less room than a notepad folded up (the kid ones anyway) and most will bring anyway foor the beach.
