DonnasMom&Dad Posted May 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2012 The Emerald Princess will be stopping at Aarhus from 12-7pm. What is there to do there? If you Google "tourism Aarhus, Denmark", you'll find lots of things to do with your 7 hours, one thing in particular is the "old town", which is a collection of old buildings, assembled into a village. ;) Cato  Completed Cruises ! 1st cruise - Coral Princess, 19 November 2008, 10 day Panama Canal, FLL to ACA 2nd cruise - Coral Princess, 15 May 2009, 3 day Repositioning, Los Angeles to Vancouver. 3rd cruise - Sapphire Princess, 25 November 2009? 7 day Mexican Riviera. 4th cruise - Golden Princes, 12 June 2010, 7 day Alaska. jstducky Posted May 17, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2012 Look into Den Gamle By. It's pretty interesting and fun. It's in the old part of town, and can be walked to from where the ship docks (though its about a 20 minute walk through town).

Tweedhill Posted June 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2012 Which cruise will you be on? We're on Emerald, sailing 7/28. We're also looking for something to do in Aarhus.
kaisatsu Posted June 2, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2012 We walked from the ship into town along the Åboulevarden waterfront street and visited to the ARoS modern art museum, which was very interesting if you care for modern art. Then we walked back along Vestergade past Vor Frue Kirke and the cathedral. (We didn't have a very long port call, and having visited another open-air museum a few days earlier, we decided to check out ARoS rather than Den Gamle By.) Hi, can you tell me how exactly did you get there from the port? We are on the Emerald Princess. I read in one board that you can catch a bus in front of the train station but it took 30minutes to walk to the train station from the port. Was wondering if there was any other options more efficient. Thanks in advance!
