Off to do the Med Treasures cruise on June 16th, with a 3yr old and an 11 month old - she turns one on the cruise):)

Any tips on what would be good or would make the cruise easier with the little ones would be appreciated or any advice on what the ports are like,

(Gibraltar, Cannes, Alicante, Malaga, Vigo, Lisbon, Mallorca and Barcalona)

How is the MDR for the children, re food suitable for them??

Can we eat in speciality restaurant?

Any tips or info will be gratefully appreciated.

Bring any "comfort" items...blankets, stuffed toys, etc...that they may sleep with.

The dining room food is adequate and ample for children...many, many mashable foods for the little one. There is a children's menu, but they can order from the main menu, as well! (And you can order from the kid's menu!!!)

You can eat in the specialty restaurants, but they request that families with kids under 13 years old book before 7 pm.

Relax....have fun...and just go with the flow! It's a family vacation...not a marathon or contest! Do what you want, when you want....that's all!

I cant speak to the ports but I would recommend packing your infant/childrens tylenol, immodium, Little Tummies, childrens Benadryl, extra diapers and wipes, baggies for those "special" diapers. an umbrella stroller (easier to maneuver around the ship and less invasive). I found these great disposable bibs at Walgreens. They tape on and cover the complete from of the shirt. Great buy and you dont have to worry about trying to rinse them at the end of the evening. Don't forget the sippy cups and extra binky if the 1 yr still uses one. Long pants and tops for cool evenings. Hats/caps, sunscreen, toothbrush and toothpaste for the little ones. As mentioned by the OP, any stuffed animal that helps soothe them. I hope this helps.

Good suggestions so far. You will probably want to book private tours - see ports of call section for suggestions - since the kids probably won't do well on long bus trips. With your own transport and guide you can stop where you want and call it a day when the kids have had enough.

As for the specialty restaurants, as noted, you can go before 7. Only you know whether your kids will sit quietly in such a venue for a meal that will likely last nearly two hours and if it is worth paying the upcharge for them.
