Cruise Junky Posted May 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Hi - I think we're going to wait until the first morning to buy packages, where could we get them bright and early so they'd cover breakfast? Thanks
ssptcruise Posted May 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2012 I believe you can purchase this at any bar. We bought ours at the bar across from guest services on the Equinox right after we boarded.

Is there anywhere other than a bar you can buy them?
Rare cruisestitch Posted May 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Try Cafe al Bacio -- they sell coffees, lattes, and so forth and also alcoholic coffees -- they should be able to do it for you. Also as soon as the casino opens the bar there would be able to sell a package. I believe that you can order bloody mary's and so forth at breakfast so some bar somewhere on the ship is open early. The schedule will be in the daily program, which you will receive the night before on your bed or under your stateroom door. Just look for the first bar that opens in the morning. Cruise Junky Posted May 25, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Excellent - thank you. I don't plan to start drinking that early ;) but it would be nice to have the morning coffees included.
npb Posted May 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Why wait until morning when you can purchase as soon as you board.
Rare cruisestitch Posted May 25, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 25, 2012 If you purchase on day one, immediately on boarding you have "lost" a partial day of the package. Also, from some ports you might be charged local tax prior to departure. Many people find that it is more cost effective to buy your drinks one at a time on embarkation day, and purchase the package on day 2.
Cruise Junky Posted May 25, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Why wait until morning when you can purchase as soon as you board. If I buy when I board I pay for 11 nights, next morning I pay for 10. We're having dinner in Tuscan Grill on the first night, I'd rather buy a nicer bottle of wine than use the "by the glass" of the package.

If you board at 11am... what drinks have you really missed out on???? your morning coffee and a bottle of water, maybe??? you still have Lunch, Sail away, pre-dinner, dinner, after dinner cocktails.... plus waters.... elena7seas Posted May 25, 2012 #10 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Hi - I think we're going to wait until the first morning to buy packages, where could we get them bright and early so they'd cover breakfast? Thanks Hi Cruise Junky: On our last cruise, on Embarkation Day we were able to buy our packages from our waiter at Bistro on Five. We were onboard by 11:30 and purchased the package with no difficulty. Bistro on Five is open at 6:00 am, so you should be able to get it as early as you wish :). Indeed! We had sparkling wine, cider and cappucinos at Bistro on 5, martinis at Martini Bar, beer at Mast Bar, frozen drinks at pool bar, drinks at Sunset Bar at Sailaway, sparkling water and wine with dinner and more cappucinos, after- dinner drinks in theater and in Emnsemble Lounge. Got our money's worth easily on day 1,it's easy to do and I honestly was never drunk. It's lovely to drink when and where you'd like, having the chance to try many drinks you might not pay for at home and with so many venues onboard very convenient.
