39august Posted May 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2012 We have been doing most dinners in the Windjammer on recent RCI cruises as we have cruised many times and are tired of the drawn out dining experience in the MDR. How is dining the the Oceanview for dinner? On RCI some of the MDR dishes are also at the buffet for dinner. And what are the hours the Oceanview is open for dinner, please? Oceanview does NOT have the MDR dishes at dinner. The buffet at dinner is a fairly limited selection, much less than what is available at lunch. You'll find that the pizza station is open, the pasta station is open, sushi, and a few other items. You can, however, order the MDR dinner dishes from room service during dinner hours. You should check out the menu's that are hanging in front of the MDR after lunch to see what is offered.
Rare Lois R Posted May 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Also, dinner really does not have to be long and drawn out if you don't want it to be.....I recently did Select and we were usually done in an hour?....We ate at 7:30 and were usually done by 8:30 (about)..... I ate with 2 rollcallmates on a few different nights. Robyn, if you are around, would you agree with that? Maybe 8:30, 8:45 at the latest..? Of course if an hour is too long? Then the buffet is an option or room service too. Specialty Restaurants as well but those are longer;)
