Spa Cabin ~ what exactly is included?

I always thought a spa cabin just meant you get a fancier looking cabin. I have recently been enlightened that the spa cabin includes some additional amentities.....:confused:

 

What is included in a spa cabin, at no additional fee?

 

Could not find info. on the web for the life of me...:(:mad::mad::mad::(

Found all this and more on the Cruise Deck Plans dot com website. I found CCL website pretty uninformative about the staterooms and the spa services.

 

"Welcome Reception/Ritual

Priority spa appointments for reservations made by 6:00pm on Embarkation day (as stated in the Welcome Letter).

Two complimentary fitness classes per person (Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi)

The Cloud 9 Spa and Spa Accommodations boast an impressive 40,000 square foot area, creating a spa resort atop these magnificent floating resorts. The spa and fitness centers are 23,750 square feet (21,000 sq ft on the Splendor) and encompass two forward decks. In addition to the fitness area, the spas have a number of features such as a Thalassotherapy Pool (not available on the Carnival Sunshine) and Thermal Suite, including indoor and outdoor relaxation areas and additional treatment rooms. Note: Some of the facilities are capacity controlled and extra charges may apply.

Note: For those guests who do not purchase a Spa Stateroom, we offer day and week long passes to use the Thalassotherapy Pool and Thermal Suite.

Harmony

The Thalassotherapy Pool, covered by a glass dome featuring jets of water jets massaging your body as it soaks in ionized water. The pool featuring jets of water jets massaging your body as it soaks in ionized water at temperature 91°F temperature (33°C).

Tranquility

An elaborate and exclusive Thermal Suite, which offers intensive relaxation and a new sensory experience provided through 4 individually, designed heat therapy chambers to cleanse, tone and purify the body, using dry and wet heat chambers.

  • Dry Heat Chambers:
    • Laconium: is a large dry heat bath / sauna-like chamber, wherein body circulation is stimulated, thereby facilitating the elimination of metabolic waste accelerated and mobilizing the body's own defenses, while reducing stress. Body circulation is stimulated at a temperature of 55°-65° C or 131 - 149° F which facilitates the elimination of metabolic waste accelerated and mobilizes the body's own defenses, while reducing stress.
    • Tepidarium: is therelaxation / rest area with the ergonomically shaped heated loungers for intensive relaxation, often referred to as the classic transition area of the spa, where you complete the process of regeneration. The classic transition area of the spa, where you complete the process of regeneration with ambient temperatures around 38° C or 100.4° F.

    • Oriental Steam Bath: is typically referred to as a large steam chamber called the Caldarium. Thalassotherapy Pool

Thalasso is Greek for 'of the sea' and these pools have a special formulation ocean water rich with trace elements and vitamins. Gently heated to body temperature, the Thalassotherapy Pool alleviates arthritic pain, soothes sore muscles and offers relief for sport injuries. The Thalassotherapy Pool has a series of hydro-jets specifically designed to work on a specific area of the body. You can relax on wide, ergonomic benches made of metal piping that are built into the side of the pool and float in the warm water. Thalassotherapy pools are a fun way to detoxify and a great way to unwind and revitalize. Note #1: Not available on the Carnival Sunshine; Note #2: charges apply.

Thermal Suite

The thermal suite is an exclusive facility within the spa offering different areas for specific therapeutic needs. The benefits of the different areas are described below. Note: charges apply.

Laconium

The body is so warmed up that after a short time it is ideally decontaminated by intensive perspiration. The circulation is stimulated, the elimination of metabolic waste accelerated and the body's own defenses are mobilized. The regular perspiration in the Laconium moreover helps to reduce stress over the long term. The heartbeat is stimulated and blood pressure regulated. The result is a feeling of freshness and deeper mental and physical relaxation. The time spent in the Laconium depends on individual preference but the purging effect already starts after 15 to 20 minutes. In Roman times, sweat and purification bathshada relatively constant temperature. After twenty minutes, the sweat bath can be supplemented with a shower to stimulate the circulation and effectively support the purification process.

Tepidarium

The stay in the Tepidarium is protective and stimulating at the same time and can be protracted at will. By an ambient temperature close to that of the body, a healthy fever is induced that strengthens the immune system without overloading the circulatory system. The Tepidarium has a preventive and healing effect and is an ideal way to relieve stress and regenerate the system for young and old alike. The Tepidariumis a rest zone comprising ergonomically shaped heated loungers that offer the benefits of radiant heat. The pleasant room climate at temperatures of about 38°C or 100.4° F offers numerous benefits to health. To be emphasized in particular is the gentle strengthening of the immune system. The length of time spent in a Tepidarium is not limited; the revitalizing and comforting effect can be enjoyed for hours.

Oriental Steam Bath

The high humidity provides an extremely relaxing climate. The respiratory tract is cleansed, circulation stimulated, muscle tension relaxed, the skin becomes pliant and supple. The ideal duration of stay in the steam bath is 10 to 15 minutes. The area is heated by the influx of steam. In ancient Roman times, the steam bath (“caldarium“) was the heart of the installation. In our modern bathing landscapes, more and more people are becoming increasingly appreciative of the interaction of high humidity and radiant heat between these temperatures 40 - 50°C or 104 - 112° F. The gentle care and regeneration of skin and hair, as well as relief of the respiratory organs, are among the greatest benefits of the caldarium. Using a caldarium also has a purifying effect on the whole body.

Aroma Steam Bath

The moist, warm climate in the Aroma Steam Bath gently but thoroughly cleanses the skin and respiratory tract. The circulation is stimulated, muscle tension relaxed, stress is reduced, limbs and joint pains relieved. Natural herbal steam (sweet odors such as cinnamon, orange or apple) can additionally support the cleaning effect. Similar to the Caldarium, with high humidity and radiant heat (40 – 50 o C) along with the combination of steam and aromatherapy fragrances found in the aroma bath enhances the effect. The therapeutic effect of fragrances and aromas is increasingly becoming more important in modern regeneration medicine. The ideal combination of steam and fragrances, which is found in the aroma bath, enhances the effect even more. Particularly for those suffering from respiratory ailments, it has been proven that the inhalation of lavender, myrrh or revitalizing eucalyptus is very beneficial for the lungs and respiratory organs. In addition calming essence of chamomile further enhances the process of mental relaxation.

Rasul® Bath (on Carnival Splendor only)

A unique and special experience for every client. After a short shower, different medicinal earths are applied to the body in the Rasul. One begins to coat oneself with the various healing mud. Cozy warmth and low humidity quickly dries the mud on the skin. With several steam infusions, the room is slowly heated up, and as the humidity increases, the room fills with the aroma of herbs being steamed on the stove. The mud liquefies on the skin and creates a tingling sensation. Finger bowls – with running water built into the arms of the seats – allow the client to keep the mud moist while rubbing on their skin. This removes dead skin cells. Supported by the massaging effect, the subcutaneous tissue is tightened; the muscular tone and metabolism are stimulated. Note: charges apply.

Only on Splendor, Magic, Dream and Breeze, it includes fancier toiletries, 2 classes, entrance to the pay spa area on these ships basically. All non smoking rooms, FYI, so cant book if you smoke.

 

How do they know if you smoke?

 

I think what you really meant is if you are a smoker you may not want to book that category as you are not allowed to smoke in the cabin or on the balcony.

There is nothing prohibiting a smoker from booking that category.
