Norwegian Cruise attire?

Hello all!!! I am going on my very first cruise tomorrow on Norwegian Cruise Line, and the boat will be heading to Florida and Bahamas. I am still very knew to all of this and have tried to gather as much information as I can prior to sailing. The one question that still remains is what the dress code will be like, realistically, on Norwegian. I know Norwegian briefly states casual cruise attire, but what does that really entail? Specifically, what should I expect to pack for the night life on board (Clubs, restaurants, casinos)? Would typical ladies club attire be considered appropriate? Skirts, tops, and heels? I would assume walking into the casino still wearing your bathing suit and a wrap would be considered unacceptable. If anyone can give me some insight it would be MOST appreciated!!!:D:D:D

Be sure to go to the NCL cruise line board. You can learn a lot there.

Skirts, top and high heels -- you will be fine.

Also slacks and flats are great for the evenings.

NCL really has a very informal approach to dress code -- you can pretty much wear whatever you want whenever you want wherever you want to wear it.

 

Extremes like bathing suits in main dining room or casino would obviously seem in appropriate, but pretty much whatever you feel comfortable in is OK.

I wore sundresses, capris and tops and skorts. It was all acceptable. I tended to wear a nicer dress to a specialty restaurant.

 

My husband wore dockers and a shirt most of the time to dinner, but shorts and bathing suit around the sundeck.
