cherbear4000 Posted June 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I am going on the Dream this Saturday and have started packing. How cold is the A/C inside the ship? I'm am not really worried about the daytime since I know I will be outside for most of the time. I am more concerned about the temp in the MDR, casino, etc in the evening. Will I freeze in sundresses?
Ehpride Posted June 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I tend to be cold inside at night. But I tend to be cold in most air conditioning.
funinthesun1964 Posted June 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I always pack a couple of sweaters to go with my outfits. I am usually cold in air conditioning. In fact, I freeze. Wish I could carry a blanket around with me sometimes :o
cccer Posted June 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I always bring sweaters even in the summer. I wear long pants and long sleeves to the casino every night, but then again I run a little cold. The way I look at it is that you can always take your sweater off.
Room Service! Posted June 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2012 You may be chilly in some areas. The only time I was uncomfortable was at the shows in the theatre. Luckily I had brought a pashmina with me. They also sell them on the ship for $10.00.

Will I freeze in sundresses? Do you get cold at home? I find the interior of the ships to be anywhere from warm to just plain hot, but a lot of people claim they are cold. We run the AC and heat at home between 68 and 70 year round. If you keep your home in the 75 - 78 range you will probably feel cold.

thomarvin Posted June 6, 2012 #11 Share Posted June 6, 2012 Take one of those dress sweaters that are out right now. They are so cute. I am always hot but on the cruise the dining room and shows I need a sweater.
Rare l2f Posted June 6, 2012 #12 Share Posted June 6, 2012 We are usually hot, but on the ship we were jeans in the evenings (not on deck) and when we go to the shows in the theater, we take a sweatshirt to put on while in that area.
CRUISE4JANE Posted June 6, 2012 #13 Share Posted June 6, 2012 My daughter was just mentioning that to me the other day. She said she was bringing 2 lightweight hoodies (tan and black to blend with her clothes) to wear inside the ship. She said she was freezing inside on her last cruise. I am bringing a sweater for DH and myself. Yes, it is cold in the MDR and theatre. I never had a problem in the casino, but wasn't in there too long (of course, it will be a different story this time as I do enjoy the slots). I was thinking of also bringing a couple of long sleeve shirts and long pants just in case. I have never packed jeans for a cruise, but will this time. I do get cold in certain areas inside the ship. Just more clothes to pack.
JO-TRAVEL ALOT Posted June 6, 2012 #14 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I am always cold if I wear a sundress. I agree take a sweater. You may or may not need it, but you'll have it either way.
Texarribean Chick Posted June 6, 2012 #15 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I am never cold and I am always bare shouldered. I guess it would just depend on your nature. Do keep in mind though, that a little sunburn can make you feel chilly too!

Tutankhamen Posted June 6, 2012 #20 Share Posted June 6, 2012 I keep my house at 62 during the summer. Wife hates it, I love it. Ship is never cold enough for us and find the cabins to be very warm.
