New "Platinum" perks/benefits?

I know there are probably about 2,000,000 threads on this topic already but this is a busy time for my job (I work for a car racing team) so I don't have the time or energy to look through them all, sorry about that!! :o

I'm Platinum (or at least, I was under the old system) and I was just wondering, what are the perks/benefits for "Platinum" or whatever they call it now) under the new system? I just hope I haven't lost VIP Embarkation, that's the perk I love most (soooo much fun being on of the 1st to board the ship)!! :D Can anyone tell me what the new perks/benifits are or is there somewhere I can find them without to much trouble (for some reason, I could never find the benefits before on Carnival's website)?

Also, will I still be considered Platinum or do I have to work towards (not that it's hard work) and look forward to getting there all over again? I remember before how far off it seemed and how hard it seemed to attain (but soooo worth it) and really don't want to go through that again!! Haha, I remember on my 9th Carnival cruise (it was on the Freedom - sad I remember that isn't it?) I had a suite as there were 3 of us and we knew we couldn't fit into a regular balcony cabin (or anything else), so we had VIP Embarkation. I was talking to a lady (Dawn, scary I remember that as well) in the VIP Waiting area when we were waiting to board the ship and we were talking about our cruise histories. She was (still is?) Platinum. I remember saying "I can't wait to be Platinum and get to do this every time" and Dawn said said "Next time", that's all and exactly what she said "Next time". It seemed soooo far off and such an incredible accomplishment. Love it (being Platinum hat is)!!!! :D Anyone else have any "Becoming Platinum" stories? Sorry, waaaaaa off track here!! :o

So, to try and get back on track here, what are the new "Platinum" benefits and will I still be considered Platinum? I was just on Carnival's website and according to that, I have 82 dys sailed.

Even though Disney was my 1st thought, I am looking at Carnival with my boyfriend and his daughter for our 1st cruise together so that's why I'm wondering. I'd love to make them feel like their getting the "Royal" treatment by being among the 1st to board!!!!

Thanks so much!!!! :D

And again, SORRY, I'm really good on going off on tangents/rants!!!!

If you were platinum before, you will still be platinum regardless of how many days/points you have. In fact, they are even giving people until the end of 2013 to qualify for platinum the old way.

Platinum members lose the free slot tournament entry as it is now buy one get one. We also get bumped from guaranteed dining selection to priority. Finally, they limit the free laundry to 3 bags per 7+ day cruise per platinum member, 2 bags per sailing for shorter cruises. They laundry info may not be 100% accurate; I never send out my laundry so I didn't pay attention all that closely.

We used to get two things each cruise, the little cakes like things and the things with shrimp and meat stuff, that I was always afraid to eat, no telling how long they sat out.

Now we get one chocolate delight.

I was hoping they would make the chocolate covered stawberries permanent I got last january. .. this is different.

Thank everyone!! :D Even though I'm still nbot happy with some things going on with Carnival, I'm still looking forward to sailing with them again!! :D

Thanks!! :D Guarenteed dining was nice but priority is still pretty good (I do love ,my late dining which I am going to miss on my NCL cruise in December)!! SO HAPPY that I still get VIP EMbarkation!! :D I don't really care about anything else, no offence to anybody who does care but I don't see the big deal about getting your laundry done for free, I'd rather not worry about it and deal with it when I get home!! just me though.

Don't ever use the casino so don't care about that. You mean, we didn't have to do a B2B in December/January so my Mom could be Platinum before they changed everything? Oh well, we had a blast and I can't wait to do another B2B!! :D
