What's With All The Acronyms...?

Okay, after several years reading these boards prior to each cruise I'm stuck wondering what the heck the acronyms mean. What in the world is POA? Our best guess: Point Of Arrival, but that doesn't fit with some of the posts using it.

Curious...

Believe it or not....POA ='s Pride Of America the name of the NCL ship which does the seven day Hawaii cruises.

Unless you're referring to an earlier NCLA (Norwegian Cruise Lines, America) ship Pride of Aloha.

Not meaning to confuse things (much), but Princess assigns a 2 letter mnemonic to each of its ships and Golden Princess is NP. Probably because GP was already used, not by Grand Princess (AP), but by Regal Princess (GP) because Royal Princess was already RP.
