I had this on the grand do they have them on other ships
No. This is a brand new venue and ships have to be retrofitted and the Piazza reconstructed in order to create the space. I believe the Grand and the Sapphire are the only two ships so far to have Alfredo's.

Assuming all Sun class ships are the same....on Sea Princess is was on Deck 8 -- across from casino. Open lunch and dinner, with rooms service option.

Yes they are. Thanks for confirming the deck :)

There are also pizzerias on the Sun, Dawn and Sea Princess (Sun Class ships) but they are not on Deck 5. I think it is Deck 8 but could be wrong.
Alfredo's specialty pizza? I thought the Grand was the first to get one. Interesting.

The Sun class ships have had them from first sailing. Great venue, glad it's expanding to other ships as well.

There is a pizzeria on Deck 8 on these ships and have been since Day 1. They have a different menu and IMO, a better menu that includes pizza, pasta and salads. I think it also had a calzone. It is a sit down restaurant like Alfredos.

Wow! My memory is definitely going because I've been on the Sea/Sun/Ocean (original) and didn't remember it.

You must have had a wild 4th of July! Hope you recover soon :)
I did, although I didn't drink. We saw eight different fireworks without doing more than swiveling in a chair. Awesome. :) It was the idiots on the road that I'm recovering from. Freaking scary.

Pizzeria on deck 8 is Verdi's. The pizzeria the OP asked about is Alfredo's, which was introduced on Grand Princess last year, same time they sawed off Skywalkers. They are not the same.

So, I guess both Pam and Coral are right.

We ate at Alfredo's on the Saphire in April. It was dine in only,no take out available , specific pizza toppings on a number of Pizza choices ..only option:) was that they allowed you to eliminate a topping but not substitute toppings .Pizza was thin crust and tasty ....Never busy ..It was across from the international cafe ....

The OP was sort of vague and asked if there were pizzerias on any other ships after sailing the Grand. She did say specifically the atrium. I just wanted to add there are other ships with pizzerias but they are on deck 8 on the Sun Class ships.

Each ship has a different name for their pizzerias and some of them have changed names. The Sea Princess's pizzeria name got changed along the way, not sure why but probably had to do with being transferred to another market (Australia?) and then came back to sail for American passengers part time.

And no pepperoni

I know!

They let us pick any ingredients amongst those listed. It was obvious that most of the people around me were creating their own pizza as opposed to picking from the menu.

We had pizza on Sapphire up on deck in April of 2011 because I had read rave reviews here on CC about Princess pizza. What a let down, it was no different than any other pizza on any other line.

Fast forward to April 2012 and the pizza in Alfredos, what a major difference. We're the type who always prefer to get dressed and go to dinner, no buffet for us. However, after having the pizza for lunch the second day of the cruise, we went back for dinner after being on shore all day, I think it was night #4 of the cruise. We had a nice bottle of wine, great corner table, nice surroundings, great service.

A while later we got dessert, I think from the International Cafe.

Did not miss the dining room service...at all.

I'm a bit disappointed to read it's not on all ships, our next 7 night cruise is on Ruby and we had sorta planned to do the same one evening.

I'm excited to try Alfredo's on the Sapphire on our upcoming cruise. The pizza on the Lido deck of the Diamond last year was hands down the best thin crust pizza I've had on any ship. I'm hoping they have that same pizza on the Sapphire! Good thing it's in the Atrium--that means plenty of flights of stairs to our room to work all that pizza off!

In May/June - we wanted to have dinner there but the loundess of the entertainment in the atrium prevented us from doing that. Alfredos and Vines were very empty due to not being able to hear the other person speak while at these venues. We complained to the CD and he didn't seem to care.

Correct but pepperoni is always available on Lido deck & Alfredo's offers toppings not normally available on Lido deck...good to have choices!

It really wouldn't be that difficult for them to add pepperoni. I was told by the waitstaff that this was a huge complaint about the menu. Hopefully the powers to be listen.

The old Crown and Regal Princss both used to have sit down pizzerias. Loved those, every night there woukld be many of the Italian oficers in for a late night dinner. I loved when i found they had continued it on the Sun/Dawn/Sea/Ocean calass ships and disappointed when it went away on the larger ones.

I'm sure happy they seem to be bringing it back across the fleet

Yes, maybe the "powers to be" will listen and add pepperoni as an option for those who desire it. I enjoyed trying different types of pizza and found each one to be excellent so I didn't miss pepperoni which is always available by the slice on Lido deck.

Sapphire also still has the pizza on the Lido deck.
