septrack Posted July 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2012 Question- I am getting various answers from discount TA's. If you book under this R,W,and B promotion and use FCC as deposit, and are forced to cancel more than 75 days out, will you lose the FCC or just the $100pp deposit? The rules say nonrefundable, and past passenger discounts may not apply. Also get varying answers to weather we would receive the FCC onboard credits, under these terms. Any advice! Thanks in Advance!

Thanks in Advance! You should get the OBC. You will loose your FCC regardless of the time frame if you cancel. Not sure what you mean by the $100 deposit as you paid $100 when you purchased the FCC. Any deposit will be non refundable.
septrack Posted July 8, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted July 8, 2012 HHgirl, Yes I meant, could I just give them $100pp (the value of the FCC) or lose the FCC altogether, and any future onboard credit. I guess I could just deposit $100pp and not apply the FCC now, hence saving the actuall FCC if I cancel. (I think the promotion also allow $100 pp deposits, but I need to check) Are you pretty sure about the onboard credit i.e. did you book under this promotion, or is that your best guess. I've used FCC many times and my best guess is that the onboard credit would still be there, however, I saw under many quotes, that using FCC's would necessitate a new quote. That's when I asked and was told it would not affect the quote. Makes no sense why that statement would be there, if it didn't affect something. Very confused, and hoping someone used the promotion and might have gotten a straight answer. Thanks again.
Ms Belvedere Posted July 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2012 We didn't use a discount TA, we booked directly with Princess. I called my Princess Vacation Specialist and asked about the sale price and OBC. She canceled my existing reservation and rebooked the same room; we used the $200 FCC as down payment. She verified with me that we would receive both the OBC from the FCC and also the RW&B sale. The down payment of $200 is non-refundable. Very happy with Princess customer service, FCC, and OBC. drk Posted July 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2012 We booked a couple days ago and got the extra OBC so I think it was the latest sale. We used FCC's and did get the OBC from them as well. Our reservation does say we will forfeit the FCC deposit if we cancel.
Pam in CA Posted July 8, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 8, 2012 FYI, you lose the deposit (the FCC) only when booking under a special promotion. Otherwise, it normally goes back into your account if you cancel.
Rare Cruise Junky Posted July 8, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 8, 2012 We booked under the same terms for the Fathers Day Sale. We got $100 from Princess and the $100 each for using the FCCs. We would have lost the FCCs had we cancelled.
UT-Volsfan Posted July 8, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 8, 2012 We booked this week under the sale and used a couple of FCCs. We were told we would receive the OBC.
