beachgrl001 Posted July 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2012 We are booking Victor Bodden for our Roatan stop. Since this is my first cruise I am concerned with being back at the port with time to spare. carnival site Roatan itinerary is 8am to 5pm so thats 6am to 3pm their time? So I was thinking to suggest we be back at 1:30 their time? Does this seem like enough time? or would you make it earlier/later? We would probably be at Tabyana Beach for our last touring stop, Im not sure how far that is from port...
firefly333 Posted July 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2012 No later than 30 minutes, which is when they supposedly close the door and lock it.. though you always see the pier runners. At the end the line to get back on the ship can be pretty long, and I would guess they have to let you on if you are in line.
golfadj Posted July 15, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Make sure the tour guide knows you are using ships time and make sure you are back at least 1 hour before the ship sails.

Victors guides will have you back in plenty of time .It would be very bad business for him if people missed the ship.Roatan is our favorite Island and Victors guides are awesome.I would suggest going to west bay beach ,most beautiful beach we have ever been to
beckymomof2 Posted July 15, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 15, 2012 I'm booking a non-Carnival excursion. In my email communications the lady has been very helpful. I questioned the time difference and when I was actually supposed to be there. She said she had quests rushing off the ship at 6 am because they thought it was 8 am and thought they were late, but they weren't. She said the ship time will say 9 am when it is really 7 am on the island. I know that's not exactly what was being asked but just some info on the timing. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted July 15, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Does anybody know how long the band/music players contact is good for on a ship? I realize they do move these people ship to ship or have set contacts to end playing on Carnival but curious when they change this form of entertainment? Not speaking about the shows just the people playing outside the casino and in other areas

wrigley80 Posted July 16, 2012 #11 Share Posted July 16, 2012 Victor Bodden is an awesome tour and experience in Roatan. Depending on what tour you booked with them. You will have your guide all by yourself for the week which was great. So you can do as much as you want. You tell your guide want you want to see. Be sure to stop at the Monkey Farm :) You always stay on ship time so if your time in Roatan is 8:00-5:00 then I would be back to the port area by 3:00 or so then you have enough time to look in the shops
