mjsshipboy Posted July 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2012 The Building Breakaway Blog has new construction pictures from Germany. The blog says it is the bow being put into place, but it is actually the stern of the ship... awesome pictures though and she's looking GOOD! http://buildingbreakaway.ncl.com/2012/07/norwegian-breakaways-bow-is-set/
ColinIllinois Posted July 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Good pics, thanks for posting. If you look close enough you can see a towel sitting on a chair already.
Single Cruiser Posted July 17, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Good job they are not building it. I'd posted the same thing. The bow will be where the Celebrity ship is so will be when that's floated out.. Aft Balconies and the Garden Cafe windows.

Gngrasso Posted July 17, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Great pictures, thanks NCL. I love how you never actually see anybody working on her, as if Meyer Werft is the Willie Wonka of shipbuilding. The Haven 2 BR suites for my 6/30/13 Bda cruise are sold out as of yesterday. Looks like she is selling well.
dmwnc1959 Posted July 21, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2012 This is actually quit epic in the way they are constructing this ship; completely backwards from the way they have constructed every other cruise ship in the main builders hall at Meyer Werft in the last 18+ years. The five Celebrity Solstice-class, the two Disney Dream-class, the four RCI Radiance-class, the three Celebrity Century-class, and the four NCL Gem-class ships were ALL built with the stern at exit door. This facilitated the stern first exit from the builders hall and the subsequent stern first conveyance down the Ems River when they are completed. Bow of Celebrity Reflection in the background (right), her stern would be at the exit door Picture of Celebrity Reflection from a couple weeks ago with the exit door slightly opened Stern of Norwegian Breakaway at the back wall of the builders hall
