What does this mean?

hihello

I was just looking at the itinerary for my cruise on the Miracle and it says "St. Thomas, USVI *--> Optional Shore Tour To St. John Available.

Do they charge you for this? Do you need to sign up?

Yes..it's an excursion. Going there requires several forms of transportation. Going thru the ship may cost a bit more, but it takes ALL the guesswork out of it.....they take you there and bring you back with no effort on your part at all. If you do it on your own, you'll need transportation to the ferry and to wherever you want to go once you get to St. John, then transport back to the ferry and transport back to the ship.

St. John is gorgeous! Love it!
