How long does it take to get from the dock to Horseshoe Bay? What is the best way to get there (taxi, bus, ncl transfer)? Is purchasing the transfer from NCL worth it?

thanks :)

The ride is about 20 minutes. A taxi is always an option but the bus system is very reliable. In the morning an express bus leaves the Dockyard for Horshoe Bay. It is a pleasant ride. We took the bus and intended to take a taxi back but the bus schedule was great and we took that.

This is the best answer.

I might add that if you rent scooters, which I do , it can be about a 1/2 hour to 40 min ride.

I second that! They also have special express buses to Horseshoe Bay on weekends from the dockyard.

A group of shared a taxi van which only cost us about $7.00 each way. This was on a Sunday morning.

The mini taxis seat six people maximum and cost $40, one way. Bus tokens are $2.50 for adults. We also did the bus/ferry passes - $20 for adults (two days) and $10 for kids ages 5-15. Under 5, free.

As others mentioned, get s transportation pass and take the bus. It's extremely easy and a little over half an hour trip.

When you leave horseshoe there is a van that will drive you up the hill for a few bucks (it's quite a haul back up).
