Explorer promenade food options

Recommended Posts

Can someone tell me what the food options are, please? Coffee, pizza, sandwiches? Are they free? How late are they opened? Is there seating available?

In addition to what you mentioned above, Cafe Promenade also has cookies, desserts, fruit, ice water, and hot tea. Cafe Promenade is open virtually 24 hours. They may close in the middle of the night for a couple of hours. There are tables for seating, and eveything is free.

Always liked the Cafe Promenade...It's conveniently located when you leave the show at night or just want a snack.

Cafe Promenade (CP) is also a good alternative to the buffet when you first board, especially if you have early dining. Coffee is Seattle's Best and usually on the strong side. Great danish pastries for breakfast -- pastries here are much better than the buffet or MDR, I think. Sometimes I skip dessert in the MDR and get dessert in CP instead -- or sometimes I get dessert in both places. (Burp.) Try mixing a packet of the dark hot chocolate with the coffee in CP for a free mocha.

The CP is open 24 hours - there was no time it was closed on either of the Explorer cruises we did. My daughter was a night owl with Adventure Ocean so I had many late nights wandering the ship. The cookies are quite good, especially the ranger cookies. It is hard not to stop in for a couple as you walk by.

There is no "reserved" seating...unless you are in a traditional dining time...then your table will be available at the same time and place every evening. Dinner only.

The rest of the time, it's 1st come, 1st served, pretty much for everything. It's a system that works well.

Took a Celebrity cruise in March, and there was nothing equivalent to the Cafe Promenade...We had to go up to the large buffet if we wanted a snack at night. Tried it once, but hardly anyone was there and never went back at night again...
