Penn station to port in brooklyn

anyone have a suggestion for the best way for us to get from Penn station to the brooklyn port for our cruise?

Taxi but have the printed directions to the port. It's $5 to go through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and free to go across the Brooklyn Bridge, so be sure to ask which way the cab is going. If you post on the East Coast Departures board, you will get suggestions from the New Yorkers.

You should grab a cab....it may cost you but it would be the easiest when traveling with luggage....Penn has taxi stands so just join the line ....also, get in the cab and then ask how much it will cost up front....once in a a cab they have to take you or get you another cab...

We have used private car services. Typically we use Carmel. It seems to be only a few dollars more than a cab, and we don't wait at a stand. The number is 12126666666. :)

We like Arecibo Car Service. 718-783-6465. We call when we are arriving at Penn.

 

They pick us up at the back entrance of Penn St. I don't know what street it is.

 

Usually show up within 15 mins. I think cost will beat a Cab ride. Nice Drivers and

 

vehicles.
