Kakk Posted August 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2012 I hope someone can clear this up for me. Do I pay RIL in euros OR travelers checks? Thanks all in advance. Kathie
6rugrats Posted August 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Why the unhappy face? This is a very easy question to answer. You could ask them or simply look it up on their webpage: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENT OR PREPAYMENT. Payments are charged at the end of your service according to the quoted rates. We accept ONLY cash and T/C’s in the form of the Euro.

Gracie115 Posted August 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2012 They want either cash(euros) or Euro Traveler Checks, they won't take US $ traveler checks. They seemed to prefer the euros so we cashed in our Euro Trav. Cks at the Purser's desk for Euros and it was all good. Great company by the way, have fun with whatever you are doing with them!! You were allowed to prepay with RIL?? Really? Surprised, but delighted as I would prefer to do that than carry cash or travellers cheques..... chipmaster Posted August 11, 2012 #10 Share Posted August 11, 2012 We justed used good old fashion cash, euros that is. was a bit of hassle carring over that much, but in the end was well worth it.
baggal Posted August 11, 2012 #11 Share Posted August 11, 2012 If you're uncomfortable walking around with a lot of cash, tell the driver that you need to stop at ATM toward the end of the day (but don't wait until the very last minute). It won't be a problem.

It won't be a problem. I forget to mention: if you do use ATMs its important that you notify your bank that you'll be using your card in Europe and specify the countries.
