Grain Terminal Brisbane

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else departed from here? Do they supply a shuttle from Portside for you? Thank's

I have departed from the Grain Wharf - but the answer to your question depends on which ship you will be joining.

It probably helps to see what your cruise instructions say. If it doesn't say departing from Portside, more likely you have to make your own way there.

It's very costly btw, particularly as there's a toll from the airport, plus no public transport.

Not a problem for us getting their as our son will be driving us. Somebody from the FB roll call told me we r leaving from there as there will be another ship docked at portside. We r going on Sun Princess....2 x 2 nighters :)

yes the Sea Princess is docking at port side on the 20th october so you will be going from the grain terminal

Sea Princess will be at Portside on that day. You will get Portside when you return.

It will be a great chance for you compare the two terminals and let us know what you think.:)

There is a company that offers parking for Portside and their website says that they also provide a free shuttle to the Grain Terminal if you park with them. I'm sure a few days parking would be way cheaper than taxi to / from the Grain Terminal.

There really is no comparison for the 2 ports, they are very different - Portside is closer to the city and aiport, much easier for access, short walk to Citycat into city, there are shops restaurants etc there. Grain terminal - is just that - it's a "working port", it's a lot further to the city and even though it's only across the river from the airport it takes a lot longer to get there.

As the Sun sort of calls Brisbane home for the summer - it's strange that the Sea Princess has got precedence over the Sun for Portside docking.

We are on the Sun leaving Brisbane and at this stage none of our documents indicate that we are departing from either terminal.
