pensi9 Posted August 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2012 I just booked a suite for NCL Star November 2013. I was told the offer for $300 OBC for suites expires 12/31/12 and I can't get it for my cruise.. If that is the case then NCL and TAs should stop advertising it since it is impossible to get it now. I thought the expiration date applied to the booking date not the cruise date. Anyone else have any info?

Keeper420 Posted August 17, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2012 I booked a cruise on the breakaway for December of 2013 and got it. Booked in July. It should apply, if they can't get it to apply, get another agent.
jmccon2 Posted August 17, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2012 That doesn't make any sense. I got the $300 credit and my cruise is not until September 2013. Maybe the offer expired?

chrisc71 Posted August 17, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 17, 2012 When I spoke to my PCC a few days ago he told me I could get it for a cruise I am looking at for next year. Who told you it is not available, NCL or your TA?

pensi9 Posted August 17, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted August 17, 2012 My TA said it expired. I thought it was strange, that's why I asked here. I will call back adn verify it.
pensi9 Posted August 17, 2012 Author #11 Share Posted August 17, 2012 tHIS OBC is for booking a suite 9 months in advance. The offer expires 12/31/12. So if you need to book 9 months ahead and sail before 12/31/12 it is no longer valid. I think my TA may be mistaken.
Ilovesailing Posted August 17, 2012 #12 Share Posted August 17, 2012 The offer is presently showing on NCL website under "specials". Click on Specials then click on terms and conditions to read the fine print

Obviously I want the $300. They took out the $75 and the $300 applied correctly. I now have $1000.oo total OBC. YEAH!!

RareBird Posted August 17, 2012 #16 Share Posted August 17, 2012 OP, very odd. I thought $300 suite OBC was a 'standing' promo. Never expired. As long as you booked a suite 9 months in advance, you got it.

pensi9 Posted August 17, 2012 Author #20 Share Posted August 17, 2012 The TA offered $500 OBC (based on amount of cruise) $100 HSN offer, an additional $100 (I'm not sure if this was NCL or the TA) and of course the $300 suite OBC. The Suite OBC was not combinable with another $75 NCL credit that was offered until 8/15. That was the reason I had a problem with the suite OBC. Anyway I ended up with $1000.00 OBC. I don't think I'll have any trouble spending it on a 14 day panama canal.
