Thankyou!!

If I figure correctly, judging from the deck plans, and the window spacing on deck five, I believe my cabin, 5740, is located just below that light blue star in the 'tug area'....

I can't be absolutely sure, as the deck plan does not exactly match up with the real view in the photo....there seems to be some kind of hatch with a porthole between my cabin and the next one aft, not indicated in the deckplan...

Hmm...maybe I need to rethink my plan of just dropping bread crumbs - to find my way back! ;)

I thought about doing this but then I started to doubt this method because I might end up following the wrong bread crumb trail. :D

Hi all, hi gambee yes I recall these pool casino's tables, I am hoping thinking lol that the breakaway wil have bigger areas of tables. The only time in over 16cruises with nlc I recall the casino on pool deck open was when I was in Europe cruising. I will definitely use the pool casino while we are in the carribean tho. Thanks

You're docked in Bermuda for three days (Wed. thru Fri). The beauty of the trip is you get to explore an island that is quite expensive to stay on. Think of it as taking an all inclusive three day vacation in Bermuda. Something that doesn't really exist.

Grotto Bay is an All Inclusive

With the time change due to Daylight Saving Time, Papenburg is now FIVE hours ahead of US Eastern Standard Time. If the conveyance begins on time (10:30am local) it will be 5:30am EST, 2:30am PST in the US.

Forecast from Accuweather for Papenburg:

Tuesday

Clear. High of 36F with a windchill as low as 16F. Winds from the NE at 10 to 15 mph.

My wife booked passage on the Breakaway with a balcony (10810) tonight for 10/26/14. That's right...2014! She is so excited she couldn't wait until next year to book. Look forward to hearing everyone's experiences....

Congrats! here's a link to start a roll call:

Its relatively inexpensive for us to fly to Bermuda, staying on the island isn't that expensive, you can find inexpensive places to stay. I just don't think Bermuda has too much to offer here if you were to spend a couple of days or a week. I just don't see where the draw is to book a cruise JUST to go to Bermuda.

Not much to do at all on Bermuda. Just swimming, snorkeling, shopping, hiking the railroad trail, climbing the lighthouse, golf, nice aquarium, dolphin quest, every type of water sport, visiting forts, and exploring the Crystal Caves, just to name a few. All in a tropical paradise. Why bother going. :)

Completely disagree with everything stated above.

Why does it matter why people book cruises to where? It is nobody's business. If I wish to sail to Bermuda three times back to back, it is because I wish to do so. If you don't fancy a cruise anywhere, that is your prerogative. Btw, this will be our 3rd cruise to Bermuda and hopefully many more to come.

ugh.... delayed again?! :(

Forecasted winds are probably too high for their comfort zone. Better safe, than a ship driven into a river bank by wind gusts. ;)

Weather for Wednesday:

Overcast in the morning, then mostly cloudy. High of 37F with a windchill as low as 21F. Winds from the SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Until March 13, 2013 at 10:30am local time Papenburg (5:30am EST for US)

Not to be pedantic but rather to avoid confusion, the US is no longer on Standard Time (in most places). It is US Eastern Daylight Time, EDT and Pacific Daylight Time, PDT.

It's fun to look at the conveyance map route on Google Earth. Miles upriver is a heckuva place to put a shipyard, tho perhaps relatively immune from tides and waves. I wonder when/if they will hit a maximum ship size before they have to start widening or straigtening the Ems river - if they haven't already. It's about 11.5 crow fly miles out to the Dollart area (bay?) on the map, if they want to cut a straight canal - plus likely some additional dredging in the Dollart area.
