kathyemma Posted September 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2012 I will be sailing with my Mom (almost 80) for Thanksgiving. She has been cruising for most of her life. She has been to every island. We are going to Bahamas, St Thomas and St Maarten. We are ditching her for the day in St Maarten so I want to find something to do with her on the other stops. Worst case we just find a beach and relax. (Oh I love thinking that is the worst case!!) She is pretty good health but hurt her back a few years ago so she can not walk long distances. Any suggestions of something fun we can do on the islands that will make Mom and my 14 year old daughter happy? (aside from shopping - I can't afford my dd's taste anymore!!!) cb at sea Posted September 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2012 Since your mom has been to these places before, why not ask her what she'd like to do? Then, pass it by your daughter and see how she feels about it. I'd give mom the 1st choice, as long as it's not something that you and DD would hate! Rare Keith1010 Posted September 24, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2012 Kathy, you could consider some type of excursion/tour where you can mostly sit such as a tour by a catamaran. The beach might be a better option. Maybe in the morning you do that together and for a couple of hours you go with your daughter while your Mom stays on the ship. kathyemma Posted September 24, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks for the suggestions. Any suggestions for the Bahamas? We are there from 7-2 so don't have too much time. Kathy
