Debitoo Posted September 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2012 Is there a helipad on the Adventure that can be accessed for sailaway? If so, how do you get to it? Thank you!

Yes, the helipad on Adventure is usually open for guests. Go outside on deck 4 and then forward, up stairs to deck 5 until you reach the helipad. Another way is to go into the forward most lounge on deck 5, and go outside a door on the starboard side.
sbowen Posted September 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2012 That is a fantastic choice for sail away!!
matj2000 Posted September 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2012 I never figured out why the big deal about "sail away". No festivities or anything on board the ship. All that happens is the ship leaves the dock. The cruise line doesn't even make a specticle over it. I guess to many watch "love boat"...

Not really anymore, but they usually have a band or music on the pool deck. I have to say that we have never gone out to the helipad for sailaway. We are usually at the SkyBar with a view all around. I suppose, if we were leaving from Venice or someplace, we would go out there, but more likely we would still be at the the SkyBar. :D:):D

We have huge sailaway parties on our Australian based cruiseline P&O. They are so much fun especially when we sail under the Sydney Harbour Bridge :D. I was dissapointed when I sailed Royal Caribbean and their sailaways are pretty much non-existant :(
