I've been watching prices on the 28 day Hawaii, Tahiti cruise since July, 2011. On August 24, 2011 right after final payment that cruise was $1847 any inside that was left for October,2011. It sold out right away. Just wouldn't work last year so was hoping to catch a deal this August. In July the price was $2299 and then went to $3299 for a long time, even after final payment date. $3299 was as much as launch prices.Took a chance the cruise would come down and it didn't. Oh well. $2199 is a good price but I'm sure airfare would eat any savings. Maybe March or October 2013. I'll keep watching.

If you book that cruise ie 28 days south pacific you can also invite 2 cabins at the same rate. That is what I was told at Princess as I called them.

I have to admit that last July when we did an Alaskan cruise, we got an incredible offer 30 days before sailing via email. We were already going to be on the west coast for a wedding, so we altered our flights and booked the cruise. We even snagged a cabin balcony at the back of the ship - which we loved (we are aft balcony lovers).

 

The cruise was dirt cheap... but boy did we make up for it at the art auction! We bought to original Chris DeRubeis pieces! Not to mention a few others. :eek: But we love them! :D

 

Once they get you on board, they hope to get you spending! ;)
