Shows on Allure

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me the approx length of these shows:

OceanAria

Comedy Show

Blue Planet

I see that Chicago is 90 minutes.

Are there any other shows you would recommend.... not sure about Ice games.

Thanks for any help.

except for Chicago, all shows are a little less than an hr.

Shows don't change times as long as you're looking at the same itinerary

No reason not to see them all

I sailed on the Allure in May of 2011. I am going on the Allure again on 5/12/13. DO NOT miss out on the shows. They are SPECTACULAR!! My travel agent made reservations for all of the shows around my main dining time. Try to make reservations as soon as they are available. The only one I did not make was the comedy show. I heard it was a hoot! Looking forward to catching it this time.

Hope this helps!

Here's a link to show info. It has the length of each show:

http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/showtimes/showtimes_AL.pdf

Show reservations can open up 90 days or more before the cruise. The time varies, so it's important to check your cruise on Royal's website frequently so as to get the times you want.

You do not indicate where you are from but if you are used to true Broadway shows, Chicago may be disappointing. We actually had to leave it was so bad.

We found Hairspray to be great but I did not see it on B'way.

IMHO, Saturday Night Fever on Liberty was awful as well.

But do try them with an open mind. I lived in NYC till recently and still go there regularly for shows so I could be a bit spoiled.

I do not think that I could disagree with you more.

The shows are abridged, by necessity, but Chicago on the Allure is an OUTSTANDING and RIVETING production.

And yes, I go to Broadway shows, too.

Thanks for the info. Chicago is on my must see list and I see where alot of people rave about Ocean Aria and Blue Planet.... just wasnt sure about Ice Games. I havent seen much written about it.

I've never seen a show on Broadway but have seen an occasional traveling show....love musicals.....

Just trying to fill the time before I cruise in May... Thanks again for your help.

We first saw Chicago in a theater in the West End of London and later saw the movie version. I agree with MM that the RCI adaptation was excellent and I am looking forward to seeing it again when we are on Allure in December. We also saw Hairspray on Oasis and thought it was excellent as well. Both were heads above most of the musical productions we have seen on other ships and other cruise lines.
