kms8066 Posted October 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2012 And what's your favorite food there?
Tweedy Posted October 22, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2012 The Crown Grill and Sabitini's are the specialty restaurants on the Emerald. If you like steak, Crown Grill is the place for you. It's very good. You choose your choice of steak or fish and the veggies are served family style. Bring an appetite as there is lots of food. I like the filet mignon and I have them butterfly it for me since I don't like thick steak. The dessert sampling is phenominal. You get a bite of each dessert offered. We tried Sabitini's for the first time a week ago and I really enjoyed everything I ate. Again, it's alot of food and it took about 2 1/2 hours for two of us. Crown Grill is $25pp and Sabitini's is $20pp.
KirkNC Posted October 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2012 I like them both but give a slight edge to Sabatinis

barbarah33 Posted October 22, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2012 I prefer the Crown Grill to Sabatini's though I enjoy both. Sabatini's is just too much food for me.
JasmineB Posted October 22, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2012 I like the Crown Grill, think I had a small ribeye there. Dessert was one of the best parts, there is a sampler of 4 tiny desserts so you don't have to choose just one. I'm not that big a fan of Sabatini's, just too much food, even if you only take a tiny taste of each one. I was uncomfortably full.

Mom33 Posted October 22, 2012 #8 Share Posted October 22, 2012 The Crown is our favorite, although we enjoy Sabatinis. I love the surf and turf and Black and Blue onion soup. Hubby goes for the New York strip. :)

lovevacadays Posted October 22, 2012 #10 Share Posted October 22, 2012 My favorite is the Crown Grill. I love the Filet Mignon and have them put bernaisse sauce on the side. Yummy! Oh and a lobster tail!:)
lovevacadays Posted October 22, 2012 #11 Share Posted October 22, 2012 How much do you tip? Tipping isn't required as the waiters in both venues are included in the auto tipping. However, I typically do tip and it depends on how good the service is. I've tipped from $5-$20 depending on how many at the table and the service. Totally up to you if you want to tip.:)

Guest arowe6 Posted October 23, 2012 #13 Share Posted October 23, 2012 Had an EXCELLENT experience at the Crown Grill. Almost 3 hours of dining with my spouse. Pure bliss. Everything was great. It might sound boring but my favorite part of thr meal was the creamed spinach. Lol -Andrew :)
geocruiser Posted October 23, 2012 #14 Share Posted October 23, 2012 I have not had dinner in the specialty restaurants. But I have been on Emerald Princess two times. Every ones tastes are different when it comes to food. But we just love the food in the main dinning room. I think the food in the main dinning room on Emerald Princess is far better than the food in the main dinning room of Azamara Journey.
