Substitute for Kiss on the Lips?

I'm leaving out of Galveston on the Triumph Monday, 11/5. My favorite drink is a Kiss on the Lips, but due to Texas' strange liquor laws, I can't get one until we're out in international waters. Any suggestions for another drink to tide me over until then? Frozen or on the rocks! Thanks -

Maybe get it as a virgin until you hit international waters?!?

What ingredient is in a Kiss on the Lips that makes it illegal to purchase one in Texas? The only ingredients are peach schnapps, mango mix and grenadine. A tasty alternative is Sex on the Beach, which is Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Orange Juice and Cranberry Juice on the rocks.

GALVESTON SAILINGS ONLY – Texas Liquor Law states that all liquor consumed while the ship is in port, and within 9 miles of Texas must be purchased directly from the State of Texas. Due to this Law there is a condensed menu of drinks being served while our vessels are in this territory. The areas that will be open upon embarkation serving the condensed menu will be the Casino Bar, Lido Pool Bar, & Lido Grill Bars.

Found this doing a search on Google for cruise ships and Texas liquor laws. So some of the liquor is purchased from the State of Texas and some is not? There are no state liquor stores in Texas, so I don't really understand this. A minor irritant for embarkation!

lol thats what I said.. but your quote is so much better, as people believe it when its written officially.

Like I said.. without knowing what liquors the ship purchased in TX .. I dont know how anyone could answer this question.

Get a fun ship special.. thats the best suggestion.

ok, I'll bite...whats a dirty banana, Fire??

I had one on Magic.. and it was so good I wanted more .. and more.. and Im not a big drinker....but that was so good. Its a icey drink for a hot day, and I generally dont do the ice drinks.. I do margaritas on the rocks for instance.

coffee liquor, bailys ,cream, a banana blended with ice and alittle hersheys syrup inside the glass

Not the one I had.. it had banana liquor (the waiter said it did, thats why Im sure).. not a real banana.. and I dont think hersheys but I dont know what else it had. It was several liquors blended with ice.

The 3 liquor ingrediants were on the drink card sitting on our table on Lido when we were sitting drinking waiting for sail away... so Carnival might make it their own way. I think its also called a dirty monkey someone told me.. who knows.. I cant wait to get no Conquest and try it again.

Someone sitting next to me ordered one.. and said yummy and let me try hers (just meet her as part of my group lol) .. so I did.. so I had one too.

creme de banana can subsitute for an actual ripe banana and the hersheys syrup is more for a garnish(to make it look dirty inside the glass) but its basically the same thing with a little variation
