Carnival casino won't pay!

I figure my odds are better at winning with the Vault than winning on a slot machine. There are usually several winners throughout the cruise. Rarely do I hear of winners on the ship with the slots lol...so I'll play my Hold Em and the vault lol.

I think my chances/odds are better that way.

Probably not.

This is NOT a game of skill, but rather a game of CHANCE.

As such, it is contolled by a random number generator, much like a slot machine. Carnival will set the expected payout return, say 80%. The computer will go through millions of random outcomes but in the long run for every $10,000 put in, only $8,000 will be returned.

Do some people "win?" Sure, but most do not!

The game is winable! It happened on the sailing (3rd sailing out of Galveston) last year. Three Ipads+500 were won and a lot of the other cash prizes were won too...

It takes skill.....

OP states ,Well on the second to last day someone finally got the key to pass thru the window. To the surprise of the entire crowd it didn't have the strength to unseat the prize. A casino employee was called, and he said Sorry it has to fall. A manager was called and said the same. Everyone complained that this is a game of skill to control the mechanical arm not a game of faith to hope that the prize is not tied so tight that the game is UNwinable. But to no avail, there was NO pay out. Beware!

Looks to be the skill factor worked but the product failed to drop ?

I am on Magic right now and I can assure you it is equal parts luck and skill. My daughter had it pass through in the kids arcade (she had several witnesses) and the prize didn't drop. She complained and was told that they hear the same thing all the time and that there is nothing they can do. I chalked that one up to a valuable life lesson.

Someone posted a while back that they knew someone who sold these types of machines and they are on a scheduled payout, much like slots. Still fun to play, though!

Do a google search for the vaults owners manual. It tells you exactly how to set up the wins. Essentially, you set up an in amount (i.e. $1000) for it to pay out. The game will help with your skill part when it is time for a winner. Btw, its been suggested that casino staff removes items to make it appear a win has happened.

It's a re-branded game called SEGA KEY MASTER. ( you can google it )

It has programmable payout settings.

The Sega website says:

THE KEY TO HIGH EARNINGS... Key Master will test your player’s skills as they try to unlock prizes by putting the key in “just” the right spot! Easy to understand and fun to play! It’s the perfect prize vending game for all ages!

Some skill is required, but it is built to make money for it's owner.

Cash Vault, just like a slot machine, is a game of chance and not a game of skill.

It gives the appearance of a game of skill in order to lure the unsuspecting into believing they have some control over the outcome. They do not. Pure luck.

If it was a game of skill, a person with the appropriate skill, would simply clean out the entire machine.
