connecting doors in suites..

Greetings,

We were looking to book a Sky Suite on the Summit and noticed it had a connecting door to the Penthouse.

Is there a noise issue with connecting doors on Celebrity?

We are very light sleepers and on NCL we were in a Penthouse that had a connecting door and occasionally we could here our neighbor. We even answered our door thinking it was for us, but it was their doorbell ringing.

Thanks for any information.

I think a lot depends on your neighbours. We had a connecting door on the Infinity in March on a b2b. First cruise didn't hear a thing, 2nd cruise heard our German neighbours quite often as they did seem to like the odd argument!...and her laugh..wow! Just depends.

The connecting door is there as the Penthouse only has one bedroom, so often people book both rooms if traveling as a group of four or larger. The door connects to the dining area of the Penthouse, so noise would only be an issue if the Penthouse guests were hanging out in the dining or living room area, but the bedroom is far away from the connecting door. The biggest potential issue would be if the piano is playing as it is LOUD and cannot be turned down.

I agree with gonzo, you can definitely hear your neighbors if they are in the dining area, or playing with the piano.

Overall, I think the noise level we heard in the connecting sky suite was minimally worse than hearing your neighbors tv's or conversations in any of the other suites we have stayed in.

It is a beautiful sky suite with a huge bathroom and huge balcony do even with the additional noise we booked it again for an upcoming cruise and wouldn't hesitate to snag it again for future cruises!

I agree. We heard the piano on a couple of occasions. We only heard conversation when our neighbors (very nice people that we met through CC) were getting ready for excursions and were speaking to each other from separate rooms. The only part of the conversation we heard was coming from the person in the dining area. We LOVED the cabin and would book it again. Nicely appointed to match the PH suite - GREAT bathroom.
