Demonyte Posted November 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2012 If I remember correctly, the packages are from $19 to somewhere around $79 depending on the contents.
Squidward Q Tentacles Posted November 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2012 Too expensive for what you get as far as I am concerned. I won the jackpot on one game onetime and shared it with two other people, I won $33! 10 seconds into this video you can see the prices.
luddite Posted November 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2012 Bingo costs one arm and one leg. Bingo pays one half of a little toe.
Tiger55 Posted November 26, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2012 $39-$59 depending on package on the Gem. $59 package gave you 6 cards, and a shadow card. Low payout for the $4000 bingo game, coverall payout was somewhere in the $250 dollar range. There were only 3 games (regular bingo, six pack, and coverall). Waste of time and money, and the push through cards were a hassle to deal with on the coverall. Sure wasn't Foxwoods Bingo:D
poemmimi77 Posted November 28, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 28, 2012 I was excited to play on the Jewel. I played on the first day. "show me the money package 40. Sat down one game only. 2nd day there was 3 games I think suggestion wait to the last day for the jackpot and the free bingo card second to last day
pris993 Posted November 28, 2012 #7 Share Posted November 28, 2012 Wonder how the payouts are for the final day, final game cover all? Have read payouts not good on NCL. Going on the Jade in April first NCL cruise in 10 years.
markf Posted November 28, 2012 #8 Share Posted November 28, 2012 Bigger question is who controls the pay out? Big money is charged to play and what is the calculation as to what get paid out and how much is retained by NCL
ch27088 Posted November 28, 2012 #9 Share Posted November 28, 2012 Poemmimi77: I was just about to ask if they play Bingo on all the NCL ships, when I saw your post. Hubby and I are booked on the Jewel going to the Caribbean in November 2013, and we love playing (especially me). I know that the games are pricy, but that's what happens when you're on vacation, so I plan for it ahead of time so I can play as much as I like. We are also gamers, so we will be in the casino quite a bit while the Jewel is "at sea".
Rare mking8288 Posted November 28, 2012 #10 Share Posted November 28, 2012 Most recently on the Gem, Bingo prices were as much as $59, and $79 for the deluxe ones with extra raffle drawings & T-shirt bundled together - it's pretty steep & considering the payouts, which their computers calculated based on Bingo sales (purchases per drawing/game) - were usually guaranteed to make NCL the sole winner, LOL. Prices have been going up - same for drink prices. Everyone has their own ideas about what's affordable & reasonable, YMMV. Last year, a couple on the Jewel spend close to $1,000 playing Bingo alone, his & hers - including raffle drawing for the "free cruise" - interesting totals on their final OBC charges on the final day, IMO. On the Star 3 years ago, we're in one of the Bingo session with 13 winners, each splitting a jackpot of $28.50 from the pool - you figure the math out. agabbymama Posted November 28, 2012 #11 Share Posted November 28, 2012 I only played Bingo once on the Star last year. 3 cards for 1 game was $20. They were selling raffle tickets too, but I didn't buy any of those. Got close, down to 1 # before the lady next to me got Bingo.
jack300s Posted November 29, 2012 #12 Share Posted November 29, 2012 Wonder how the payouts are for the final day, final game cover all? Have read payouts not good on NCL. Going on the Jade in April first NCL cruise in 10 years. On the Pearl in Alaska a couple of years ago our son won the big final day bingo game. He got $3032. They had to escort him to the casino and open it up to pay him in cash...... BTW, bingo is very expensive. My wife played everyday and spent about $600 on bingo games. I would watch our family member play bingo and most of the pots were split and didn't pay much. From what I saw the big payoffs are the last day. They have the grand finale game, and a free cruise game.
poemmimi77 Posted December 7, 2012 #13 Share Posted December 7, 2012 I love bingo. What irked me was the first day only one game next time I will wait for second game Sent from my AT100 using Tapatalk
jdvmd Posted December 7, 2012 #14 Share Posted December 7, 2012 Pretty expensive so we don't buy the bingo cards anymore. Lots of people do, however.

Rare mitsugirly Posted December 7, 2012 #16 Share Posted December 7, 2012 We learned our lesson a couple of years ago on the Epic. My husband bought the $79 package (it came with a Bingo tee-shirt and also an Epic bag). They really hyped up the game about this huge jackpot and someone was going to win $XXXX only to find out NO ONE is going to win it at THAT time. It's a build up all week to the jackpot. Payouts were NOT good in my opinion. Also, they went SO FAST that we could barely keep up with all of the cards we had to play with (because of how many you get in the $79) package. It was rediculous! I could have won and never even known it. The games were over in a blink of an eye. I will NEVER play bingo on the ships again after that experience. A complete rip off. :(
