WatchHill Posted December 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2012 Plaza deck is a great location, near the wine bar and atrium cafe for snacks and coffee. The location is away from the crowds, too. Art auctions are held in one of the lounges. Darcy

SeaTheWorldBySea Posted December 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2012 Are they noisy? Is that where the art auctions are held? Thanks Inside, midship Plaza deck - one of our very favorite locations! Failing to get one of those, midship on Emerald is our next choice. finnkle Posted December 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2012 I have stayed in the oceanview rooms and never had one issue. In fact, I prefer to stay in this part of the ship!
caribill Posted December 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 12, 2012 Some people have posted that on some mornings there is noise from the art gallery as the workers take art of the wall to bring to the art auction lounge. Most people report that these cabins are very quiet. Certainly is a great location.

Correct... if you have an inside cabin that has its back wall against the gallery, they may be some noise when artwork is being pulled down or put up, but it'd be only transitory. TorontoTL Posted December 12, 2012 #9 Share Posted December 12, 2012 I love cabins on the Plaza decks of the Grand Class ships. I've found them to be quiet and well located.
cherylandtk Posted December 12, 2012 #10 Share Posted December 12, 2012 Based on many similar comments to those above, we booked P323 for our recent 24 day cruise on the Crown. No noise from the art gallery or people in the hall, just the occasional noise from moving artwork, as noted. BUT the late night and early morning noise from the crew work area below this room made it the noisiest room we have ever had. Earplugs helped some, but sleep was interrupted at least two out of three nights by 'ship operations'. I loved the convenient location of this room but honestly cannot recommend booking an inside room in this area; perhaps a room forward of the stairs is less noisy.
