ABoatNerd Posted December 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2012 I am booked on the May 5 transatlantic from Miama to Amsterdam! Just read that The Connie is drydocked for a month before this sailing. Question 1 - Where is the drydock occuring? Question 2 - What work is being done? Question 3 - What happens if the work is not complete? The Connie is my most favorite ship, so her welfare is of importance to me. Thank you in advance for your responses! Regards ABoatNerd They are doing the same as they did to the other M-Class ships. Besides adding a Deck 11 of AQ cabins, they are adding oceanview cabins on Deck 3, Qsine on Deck 11 or 12, Cellar Masters, Bistro on 5, and changing the Martini bar to those like the S-Class. They call it all Solstizing of the M-Class. They did a nice job.

Looks like her last cruise before drydock will be the Top Chef cruise ending April 15....I believe some of those things have already been done.....already has Martini Bar, Bistro on 5 and Cellar Masters.....so, in addition to AQ cabins and Blu....they will add balconies to Celebrity Suites; iLounge; eXhale bedding program; Michaels will get "new concept" look; ......Not sure Connie is getting Qsine ? Whatever the "add"itions....will no doubt just "add" to your "favorite ship"....so ENJOY !! Woody
yoj13 Posted December 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 20, 2012 Apparently Michaels Club is also being changed into a Speciality Beer 'Palace' hence the the legend that is Perry Grant leaving today, bound for the Eclipse towards the end of January 2013. He'll be missed by a lot of passengers and 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' springs to mind
Esprit Posted December 20, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2012 Another change will be the relocation of the kids club to accommodate the new cabins. It will be moved forward and utilise some of the Sky lounge space!
