remdog Posted December 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2012 We will be docked from 7am-5pm. So far we have reserved a cooking course 11a-2p, which is in El Centro (San Miguel), apparently just a few blocks from the dock. We are also bringing our own snorkels and want to do some snorkeling. Ideally on a beach where we can just walk into the water, not go very far out and see some cool fish and stuff. Any recommendations for spots like this? I am toying with going to Chakanab but because of its location, it would mean cab rides eating up a lot of the time there. thx

remdog Posted December 22, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted December 22, 2012 I'm really not sure where we are docking, we're on the Crown Princess.
JohninDC Posted December 22, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2012 Chank is not a good option for you because of its admission fee :(; a better bet would be the Money Bar -- a short ($10 or less) taxi ride from downtown or the peirs, great snorkeling from the shore (you enter the water via steps) and good food and drinks plus :D a sandy area (not a beach) for sunning and relaxing. Good luck! :)
remdog Posted December 22, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted December 22, 2012 Is there a charge to enter the money bar if we just want to snorkel there, using our own gear?
cruisin 07 Posted December 23, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 23, 2012 I think if you have some drinks and eat lunch it would bew okay. Food is good by the way. Should be no problem to snorkle around the area. Last time there in May there where a few people having a great time. After all it's a business and their property so a few drinks and eats should be in order. Check out their web site. http://moneybarbeachclub.com/
