I'm new to NCL and booked the EPIC and why I know I'm going to love it!

Sailing in 51 days and I am really excited and after reading the posts of this is why I know I'm going to love it!! I have sailed RCC four times, but ready for something new. I'm ready for a change.

I hate dressing up at formal nights and so does DH. I'm just not a dress up type of person.

I love the freestylte eating concept. We are not the fussy type eaters and have seen the menus and pictures of the food and it will be great. The speciality restaurants seem very reasonable to me if we want to go that avenue. We like being on our own and eating when we feel like it.

DH is a gym rat and we have booked the spa balcony and the thermal suite seems ideal.

We love the casinos and that looks great also.

I love that on the Epic there are only three ports of call so we can enjoy the ship on sea days.

We love going to the shows and the shows seem very very good. Can't wait for those.

I could go on and on, but mostly all the positive reviews from the people on this board helped put my mind at ease.

It can't come soon enough!!

Hi!

I have been cruising since 1986 but never on NCL; until last January. We cruised on the Epic and LOVED it. The ship has something for everyone and the staff was outstanding. I am now a NCL follower and plan to cruise with NCL on my cruises in the future; as long as they have a cruise that goes where I want to go.

We were tired of being treated poorly even though we were frequent cruisers and paid quite a bit of money on other cruiselines. It did not matter what level we were.

So far, NCL has shown more appreciation for us as customers than all of the others we have cruised with before.

I am a HUGE customer service person and NCL has been great.

I know you will have a great time!!! :D:D

Wow, big DUH on my part. :o :o

When I posted earlier this morning (from the office), I hadn't counted the stated days on my fingers and toes to realize it's the EPIC sailing I'm on as well.

Don, you doofus.

Please do come and join in on the roll call. Will look forward to meeting everyone next month. :)

Gym rats and spa lovers will LOVE Epic. Epic has the biggest gym and biggest spa at sea. The gym also has unique training sessions and classes with excellent trainers.

The Epic also has the best entertainment at sea and the largest selection of specialty restaurants too.

Yes the cabins are quirky and the ocean is not seen everywhere. And there is no grand atrium. But the lifeboats are pushed to the side to maximize every square inch of entertainment value.

Please come back to write a review after you sail.

This was my very first cruise on the NCL Epic 12/15..Eastern Caribbean...and I loved it! Believe me I had read all the reviews for about a year before sailing and came to the conclusion that negative people are going to post negative remarks. It was myself and DH (50 years old) and my kids and their friends (25 years old) and three other couples...12 in our group and we had a blast. Food was great, Blue Man Group was great, at sea days was relaxing, music was great, our balcony (room 14045) was great...on and on....I can't wait to book again soon! Freestyling dining was great...was nice to see people dress up for dinner after being in their bathing suits and shorts all day. I have nothing negative to say about spending a week with 4600 people. All good :)

Crackycruiser! I am looking forward to NCL and the Epic for many of the same reasons as you. I like the idea of freestyle very much, as I have vowed to never ever go back to set time dining again. I like to dress up a wee bit for dinner sometimes, but not most days, so again freestyle suits me fine. I grew tired of Carnival after 5 cruises with them. (none of them horrible, and most very nice), but just wanted to see and try a different cruiseline, and for me, as a solo cruiser, Epic's solo studios cabins were calling out to me:D So please when you return from your cruise please make a post about your cruise. Review is great, but they take time, so even a brief one will do for me. My cruise not until November, so I have to content myself with any Epic reviews and info until then. Have a great cruise!:)

Good to know about the gym. In our roll call they mentioned TRX classes. Hopefully I will be in good enough shape to try it.
